Which Maximal character is left for Venatrix to sink her teeth into, so to speak, during this cease fire?
Any Maxi out there thats good in melee combat?

Um.. The majority of maximals are melee fighters. But to list the most melee focused.
Dinobot (Code of the warrior, etc.)
Optimus Primal (Big swords!)
Orcariner (BIG Energo swords, and possibly the only character that can do one hit kills to 90% of the game cast, though more likely to simply mangle.)
Whitegrazer (So Melee she specializes in unarmed combat, which to some of her teammates seems suicidal.)
Saberfang (She-hulk with claws, nuff said.)
Wintersong (Simply because she sometimes forgets she has guns.. 0_o )
Icebreaker (While known for his impressive firepower, he also carries a gigantic knife and will use nearly anything as a weapon.)
Frilla (Er.. She has a sword.. though she hasn't used it for anything.)

Lol this is why I plan for her to start going more hand-to-hand in season two. She may have heavy firepower but she seems to have come to rely on hand to hand and melee then long range, which I noticed over time I used her rifles less and her wrist launches only just the last two episodes.
Funny story though, I completely forgot about the wrist launchers.

lol I'm also surprised Wintersong doesn't utilize her guns more often. She has so much potential to turn into a one-woman-army. Not a lot of characters really fit that label in my opinion.

Dinobot - Been there, done that. I plan on MAYBE having Venatrix confront him one more time before the Code of a Hero. But that's a big MAYBE.
Optimus Primal - Thats one Maximal, Venatrix would love to meet in a one on one battle in the field. Don't think there is time during this episode though.
Orcariner One hit kill, possibly. But only if Venatrix is unable to move. Can't kill something that is simply to fast to hit.
Whitegrazer - Think This could be an interesting match-up. Beating her up might bring Optimus more willingly to fight Venatrix one on one. ^^ *evil laughter*
Saberfang - The kitty with rather scary looking teeth Sounds like fun.
Wintersong - Never gave her much thought as being an equal to Venatrix in unarmed combat. I could be wrong, but on paper this would look like an easy win for Venatrix.
Icebreaker While being quite an interesting opponent for Phoenix, when she walks the stage, but i cant think of a reason for them to hit it off fist to fist, foot to foot, head to head. But i could also lacking imagination to this point. I'm sure you could come up with something ^^
Frilla - Its not a question how well she can use her sword, but how well she can fight hand to hand.
However, its more important for me to know who has the time and patience to do so.
I amaze myself if i can post more then 2 times a week, while some of you can post five times a day.

I just want to point out something real quick. Just because the cease fire prohibits use of guns doesn't mean character should be actively picking fights with others. The way the show handled it was that no one had any skirmishes in beast mode or fist fights in robot mode. Everything was subtle. Tricks, traps, and sabotage were the methods used to handle each encounter. Regardless, I feel compelled to respond since Ven appears to be underestimating most of the Maximals or overestimating her own character.
Dinobot: We all know this.
OP: We all know this.
Orcariner: He's 4-5 times taller than Starshadow (who has an identical beast mode to Ven's) and his tank-like armor endured more than any other character in the game's thus far. He may not win a lot of fights, but he doesn't lose any of them either.
Whitegrazer: Considering how she's the only primary hand-to-hand and her character history revolves around Diffusion, Whitegrazer is easily the best hand-to-hand fighter in the RPG. I'd go as for to say that she's better than any canon character, as well. You'd have to use a weapon if you want to beat her.
Saberfang: If she does hulk, no one can beat her in a 1 vs 1 match-up. In the past it took a group to subdue her and return her to her normal state.
Frilla: I actually wouldn't consider her to be a primary melee fighter. Even still, her endurance is equivalent to that of Orcariner's despite only being like 4 feet tall.
I also feel compelled to share this:

With the rising amount of sword/melee characters in Season 2, let's not fall into that trope.

The reason why I made Whitegrazer melee oriented was because I'm used to RPing fighters. I RPed alot in fightings game genres like Tekken (been in a Tekken RP for three years so it's second nature to me to have a fighter. ) Also, like how Episode 5 addressed how useless she could be in a battlefield full of machine guns...guns galore! XD which prompted her to get some non-lethal weapons to compensate.
Oh I hope not, Alak. That trope doesn't sound well. XD

Sorry, I forgot to mention two in the list:
Icebreaker: He's not specifically trained for unarmed combat, but his sheer size and strength is something to be aware of. This is a bot who's as tall as Optimus and was strong enough to pin Starshadow's body to a tree.
Wintersong: Yeah, I also don't consider her as a melee character until Season 2 starts.
Icebreaker's description reminds me of something. There's a reason why fighting competitions have weight class. Granted, anime and video games sometimes disregard the weight class in favor of fantasy, but it exists in real life for a very good reason. George-St. Pierre is a world renowned fighter, but if I pit him against Jon Jones then my money goes to the latter. Mayweather Jr. is the fastest hitter and dodger in the world of boxing, but he'd get wrecked by Povetkin. In that list the NK provided:
Dinobot, Optimus, Orcariner, Whitegrazer, and Icebreaker are much bulkier than the rest of the cast. Assuming that due to the Beast Wars, they are all in peak physical condition, it would be impossible for a smaller character to beat them in a straight up fist fight. Ambush and cheating is a different story, though. Weapon inclusion is definitely a differently story lol.

So then out of that list.. She should probably pick someone more her size like Wintersong.

The only reason I am having Wintersong become a more melee/hand-to-hand combatant is probably due to me not being all to familiar with guns in the first place and thus why I've had her use her guns on occasion. So going to something I have a bit more knowledge of which is mostly some close combat skills, but she is keeping the wrist launchers which is about it.

Speaking of those larger combatants, and since it's the end of the first season. I assumed I'd bring out a one shot treat if such an event occurs.
Having through it over, it's nearly impossible for anyone other then Megatron to really get into a fist fight with Orcariner if he decides to hold his ground, and I have hinted at the thing a few times..
More or less I'm talking about the "Behemoth" unit, it was a throw away idea for the season that didn't work out since we have a no gestalt policy.. and no large robot policy..
Anyway, the Leviathan's gun turret's naughty little secret is the Behemoth unit, essentially a robot built using designs based off Orcariner's data from his Stasis pod, much like Glowstick's attempt to make a Energo sword which.. failed though made a really scary weapon, the Behemoth unit is the same. Normally it requires two Predacons to pilot it, has no field dampers exposing the pilots to energon radiation requiring it to combine back to the Leviathan. Other issues being it's limited power supply, lack of firepower, and being rough on the pilot.
I figure it would be interesting.

Who knew that Orcariner's own "rival" would stem from his very own stasis pod lol...

Considering how Black Lio Convoy, Clear Convoy,Black Convoy/Scourge, Nemesis Prime, and so were made.. that's really the far least weird origin.

This is a bit of a late reply, but while the Maximals do have impressive fighters, Venatrix was designed for the game to have had expert training in hand-to-hand fighting- not just swordsmanship.
I agree with the point that in the last episodes of the first season, there's never actually any hand-to-hand fighting (except when Waspinator cheats and Rattrap pays him back for it), so it's probably not going to come up in anything in the near future, but I don't think Venatrix is wrong to say her character has a chance against Whitegrazer, Frilla, or Icebreaker.
I know Venatrix said about Whitegrazer that "beating her up might bring Optimus more willingly to fight Venatrix one on one," but I don't read that as her saying she absolutely would beat Whitegrazer up. I don't think she was really saying she would destroy Optimus either- just that it would be an entertaining fight.
Size and strength are important. But so is skill and keeping your imagination open during a fight. Also, you can guess the outcome of a fight pretty consistently if you know enough about the fighters involved, but anything could happen. This is especially true in a creative writing role play- where story and character development have an important influence on the outcome of fights. Venatrix ought to be able to hope her character has a chance of winning some of these fights.
That all having been said, Venatrix, Orcariner would hit Venatrix eventually. Sorry.

I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.

I agree with Blazemane.
After all, in the show of Beast Wars, many small characters could defeat the bigger ones in creative ways. Like in Proving Grounds, Blackarachnia despite her size could trip Dinobot II. Size doesn't matter(usually). It's all about how to use that skill to beat the bigger opponent.
I wouldn't mind to see Venatrix and Whitegrazer fight in the RP. We have to make this happen! XDDD
*adds that fight to the list*
