I feel like I've heard that Posthumus piece in a few different trailers. The part after 2:00 is indeed pretty epic.
So much destruction in Blink video...
Morten Laurisden- O Magnum Mysterium: Choral work can sound boring. I get that. But I love this. It takes time to build to the really powerful stuff towards the end- but the powerful stuff is actually just a reiteration of the first part taken to it's logical, most fulfilling end. I think it's great from start to finish.
Z. Randall Strope- We Beheld Once Again the Stars: This takes the text from the end of Dante's Inferno where he and Virgil are finally leaving hell behind them. At the very end, they see the stars again. The way I hear the music, it portrays both serene relief and triumph.
Audioslave- Moth: More Audioslave? O.k.

I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.

I like: Bright EyesWorpeX wrote:I love Blind Guardian. Saw them live twice now and both times were absolutely brilliant. ^^ My favorite song by them is and will likely always be, ...And Then There Was Silence. But, with that said, I love their entire discography.NaitoKage wrote:Hmm.. My musical taste. Should already be known, but alrighty.
Metal or as I like to call it.. the music of battle!

It is neat that a lot of us seem to have similar tastes in music.
I like a lot of different stuff. My favorites being Alice Cooper, Dio, Savatage, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, and Halestorm. But these are the songs I am stuck on right now:
White Rabbit by Egypt Central I LOVE it! I picked up Alice in Wonderland after hearing it. Alice in Wonderland is one weird book. I tried reading it after a night of drinking...it still made absolutely no sense.
Avenged Sevenfold- Nightmare It's awesome! I just love this guy's voice especially as he's belting "NIGHTMARE!!!" (You must be 18 or older to watch! )
Alice Cooper- I am the Spider Keep listening even when you think it's over. He does this really awesome epilogue at the end.
Circle II Circle- Watching in Silence Another singer with a truly amazing voice...ZAK STEVENS!
And because I'm getting excited for the start of football season...... Black and Yellow Steelers Remix GO BLACK AND GOLD!!!

@ Blazemane: A lot of people aren't fans of choral work, but I actually dig it. My friend used to take a choir class at our university so I would attend her performances. Now, onto a post filled with Halo music!
Martin O'Donnell - Sacred Icon Suite 2 - Like most songs in the Halo OSTs, this one is short but at least it's filled with epic music.
Martin O'Donnell - Ashes - A bit creepy to begin with, but it's basically a representation of the planet Reach burning as the Covenant invade.
Martin O'Donnell - The Last Spartan - Not sure how to describe this. It just added to the incredible soundtrack that Halo 2 delivered.

Perfect Dark - Maian Tears - Perfect Dark was a game made by the same people that did Goldeneye, Rare. This song plays in a special level where you play as an alien trying to escape Area 51 and he fails. =( but not before he sends a distress signal. Sad music it is and moving.
Perfect Dark - Skedar Leader - Another score from the game. The Final Battle.
Natasha Farrow - Calling to the Night - A sweet song and is a song played in the MGS Portable Ops.

Mr. Crowley is an AWESOME song! But I LOVE Ozzy! So...this is "Mr. Crowley" by Ozzy: http://youtu.be/FDprOYJ3CJoVampyerba wrote: Cradle Of Filth - Mr crowley - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5lBiyTwcR4 (This song reminded me of Tarantulas, in which I wrote my fic Mr Crowley)
This is a wikipedia article about Mr. Crowley...he was an actual guy.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aleister_Crowley
Anyway....
Just thought I'd throw another one from Skillet out there. This one's my favorite, "Monster" (it could be Arachnitron's theme song....lol): http://youtu.be/1mjlM_RnsVE
And another one that could be a great theme song for my character, "Monster You Made" by Pop Evil....it actually kinda makes me sad.... http://youtu.be/DSSfGQU90uY
Here's two more great songs for you:
"Hell is home" by Judas Priest http://youtu.be/28_HpA8txU0
"Evilution" by Dream Evil http://youtu.be/Nm65GPg0gqU

Knights of Cydonia- Muse: Really fun guitar work.
Sonata Pathetique, Second movement- Beethoven (played by Vladimir Horowitz): Classical music usually bores me, and I can't quite put my finger on why I like this one. It's just good (and it kinda reminds me of "Somebody to Love" in the main melody).
Audioslave: Cochise: I can't help myself.

So I've been in what I'd like to call my "Asian Zone" lately. I watched Seven Samurai last Tuesday. I bought an Asian-fantasy book for my kindle titled "Eon" (even though it's written by an Australian author). I even used Artgerm's famous samurai pieces to make my new wallpaper (here). For those who have been paying attention to my posts in the music thread, you know that I have varied tastes and dubstep is certainly one of them. Therefore, I present to you this:
Cyberoptix - Geisha
Cyberoptix - Geisha VIP Remix
Quartus Saul - Hagakure (Cyberoptix Remix)
Tip: Turn up your bass for maximum pleasure to the ears and heart. It'll be hard not to dance once the beat drops.

Just reminiscing about my childhood.....anyone else ever play these games on PS2?
This one is my favorite song from the Need For Speed Hot Pursuit II soundtrack: Hot Action Cop's "Fever for the Flava'" http://youtu.be/9u-c6RmloNY
And this one is by No Connection and it's called "Burnin'." It was on the game Flatout! http://youtu.be/8G0AvrVZofA
And this one is NOT from a video game (as far as I know), but it has great lyrics and Zak Stevens has such an amazing voice that I couldn't resist posting this one. This one is "All That I Bleed" by Savatage http://youtu.be/a5b0LWg2AqI
If you haven't heard of Savatage before, you probably have you just didn't know it. In 1995, Savatage debuted an album called Dead Winter Dead which was a concept album about the war in Bosnia and Serbia. On the album was a song called "Christmas Eve in Sarajevo". I personally would prefer to take things one holiday at a time and save the xmas music till xmas, but if you need to jog your memory this is the song: http://youtu.be/MHioIlbnS_A
The song was such a hit that the band's producer Paul O'Neil wanted to explore this type of music further. So he and Robert Kinkle (I think he was the band's song writer) got together to form Trans-Siberian Orchestra and write more classic x-mas songs with a progressive metal twist! And, thus, TSO was born! A lot of the songs that TSO plays in the second half of their xmas show are songs that were originally produced under the band name Savatage. So, in essence, TSO is Savatage and Savatage is TSO....just without Jon Oliva and Zak Stevens on vocals since they both are doing their own solo projects now. lol

Much love for Manson
I'm currently listening to "For Whom the Bell Tolls" by Metallica and I just remembered how perfectly they used it in the itntro to the movie Zombieland
One of my all time favourite songs is A Tut le Monde by Megaedeath as it is just beautiful to listen to
More to come if my fever addled brain can recall things

I've been on a MASSIVE Insomnium kick recently and I figured i'd share some of my favorite songs by them! They're by far my favorite band to play on Guitar because the leads are just so intricate and FUN! I want to see these guys live so bad.
Insomnium - Through the Shadows
Insomnium - Inertia (Instrumental... sorta)
Insominum - Down With the Sun (I can play some of this on guitar... not all of it. haha)
Insominum - In the Groves of Death (Can play some of this too... insanely hard though.)
