BIO: Orcariner has had quite the adventure since his arrival to this mysterious planet. While successful at preventing the efforts of a future Predacon hit squad who had intended to assassinate Optimus Primal, the killer whale was faced with the death of his first friend and mentor of the original Axalon crew, Icesight. Alone, Orcariner chose to venture out into the new world. His next encounter consisted of him crossing paths with a hybrid group of both Maximals and Predacons. Joining forces with Xzuk, Icebreaker, Nightmist, Glowstick, Snowtrix, and many others, Orcariner had a series of strange run-ins with a powerful alien presence known as the Vok. Despite their ability to work together through many dangers, the group was eventually separated and he and Icebreaker were the only two who succeeded in rendezvousing with the Axalon and its captain.
In his first mission with the core crew, Orcariner found himself once again faced against the Vok technology. Optimus Primal disappeared without a trace, and the chain of command fell into chaos. Under the command of Valkyrie, the orca went to go inspect the crash site of a ship belonging to the Predacon known as Sonar. Engaging the opposing faction, the team made it back to the mainland and witnessed the return of the Maximal leader. The next couple of missions consisted of both victories and defeats. On a trip to a smoldering desert, Orcariner and his closest friend, Icebreaker, found themselves disadvantaged in the environment and lost the stasis pod that would soon introduce Blackarachnia to the war. A later mission involved Orcariner as one of the primary tacticians which resulted in the successful retrieval of approximately three tons of raw energon despite interference with the Vok creation known as Clear Convoy.
Perhaps what Orcariner considers to be his biggest failure to date was his mission to inspect a crash at the northern arctic circle. Being the first to arrive on scene, the orca found the mysterious object to actually be the body of a former Decepticon soldier known as Nemesis. Conflicted over whether to kill or spare the hibernated individual, Orcariner chose to bury the body within the arctic ocean which was swiftly recovered by the pursuing Glowstick and Snowtrix. Nemesis was able to escape Predacon custody and made her way to the Maximal base. Nightmist, an old friend of Icebreaker and Orcariner from their previous adventures, had recently reunited with the crew. During the confrontation with the larger Decepticon, the female Maximal was killed and her body assimilated by the newcomer. Orcariner knew he had the opportunity to prevent yet another death of one of his friends. Despite reassurances by his commanding officer, the orca still holds himself responsible for Nightmist’s death.
The next few missions showed more promise. Orcariner helped defend Rhinox as the latter saved Airazor’s stasis pod. Quickly finding his niche as the Maximal’s signature stall fighter, Orcariner utilized his bulk and defensive capabilities to help get both Maximals and Predacons through yet another Vok trap. The experience became more memorable due to the constant exchange of words and expressed ideologies with the Predacon known as Steelclaw. What was spoken between the two would carry on in Orcariner’s mind for a long time.
In a desperate attempt to save the planet from destruction, Optimus Primal set out to destroy the weaponized moon. Orcariner helplessly watched as his leader was trapped in the rigged stasis pod, and as a result, died in the ensuing explosion. Now without anyone to look up to, the Maximal must turn to himself for guidance in the escalated Beast Wars. The attained transmetal forms have brought new sources of power to both factions. Orcariner must quickly learn how to wield it in order to help defend the leaderless Maximals.
WEAPONS: Unlike his previous form, Orcariner now only wields one energo-sword as a weapon. However, this blade resembles that of a broad sword with straight edges rather than serrated ones. The sword’s reach is now eight feet long, and it becomes even more lethal when combined with a boosted lunge attack. The limit of this weapon’s cutting ability has yet to be recorded. The combination of Orcariner’s sheer strength and body mass with the sword’s power equate to a striking force that is unrivaled by any other in the Beast Wars. Having exactly the same properties of his former energo-swords, the new blade is virtually indestructible, enabling the killer whale to also use it for defensive purposes.
A second tool in his arsenal is an energy shield that is projected by the power generator stored in his left arm. This shield is perfectly circular and maintains a diameter of roughly ten feet. Although composed solely of energized particles, this shield does not burn nor shock anyone who touches it. Rather, it may be used as a concussive force when Orcariner chooses to batter his foes. Given enough force, the edge of the shield may act as a crushing blade although the cutting ability would not be anywhere as effective as an actual offensive weapon.

ABILITIES: Being a Transmetal, Orcariner now has the ability to transform into a helicopter. His pectoral fins may act as hard points to attach external equipment, weaponry, or seats so that he may provide aerial transport for Maximal infantry or supplies. The upgrades he had installed in his previous form are not only present, but they have been enhanced due to the removal of his old body’s power limitations. Sonar emissions are now running full time simultaneously with his advanced radar technology, capable of reaching up to a 250 meters radius for gathering full 3-dimensional images of the environment. The main antenna cone is no longer housed in Orcariner’s vulnerable dorsal fin, but is now shielded beneath his circular chest piece. His radar's reach is still able to achieve a 1 kilometer radius. The gravity lifts continue to aid him in flight as well as providing the extra boost in battle when necessary. The boosters on his body grant him flight and hovering capabilities while in robot mode. They are also able to increase his underwater speeds to roughly 50 mph. The combination of his lifts and boosters allow Orcariner to move at speeds more than twice as fast as his actual running speed on land.
Orcariner is now armed with deployable motion sensors. An integral tool for scouting and collecting real-time intelligence, this portable high-tech device is designed for sensing even the slightest twitch of movement, alerting the owner when an enemy has breached the premises on foot or by vehicle. These devices are capable of processing data up to 50 meters radius. They operate for a short period of time of roughly 5 minutes, after which it will no longer detect enemies. Once inoperable, the devices create an implosive EMP charge to destroy themselves in order to prevent falling into enemy hands. The second equipment that his new upgrade provided is an electronic countermeasure. Used only for defensive measures, the ECM may be activated in order to create an electrical "bloom" around him that prevents radar tracking and missile locks. The ECM remains active for 5 seconds at a time and requires another 10 seconds to recharge before reactivation.
One new feature obtained is the ability to emit a translucent energy shield around him. The shield resembles a dome constructed of hexagonal patterns and it also encompasses those within a 10 meter radius of his body. It is capable of easily absorbing the impacts of energy projectiles, explosions, missiles, and various high caliber munition rounds. Orcariner’s bubble shield lasts for 8 seconds after deployment. Despite its brief usage, this bubble shield is virtually indestructible to anything short of a weapon of mass destruction, allowing it to live out the entirety of its 8 seconds. On the other hand, his mobile shield virtually has no such time limitations. While not as powerful as the larger shield, this one is still capable of deflecting high intensive firepower such as fusion cannons and rocket launchers.Orcariner can detach the power generator from his arm, allowing him to use it as a portable defensive measure. However, once removed, he is unable to create a new shield from his arm until that unit is restored or replaced. Another new feature that Orcariner obtained during the Transmetal process was the tactical headset. The device analyzes environments, indigenous life forms, and personnel in real time. The data is stored in Orcariner’s own databanks (in the form of video, sound, and pictures) and it may be re-uploaded into external computers or hard drives. The headset may also be used for other functions. During low-light operations, it may act as an additional light source. Similar to his Beacon 2.0 capabilities in Season 1, the headset is able to upload data to other Maximals within a 100 meter radius of Orcariner's position. Said data includes real-time radar, color highlighted outlines of friendly, enemy, and neutral lifeforms, marked objectives on the map, etc. Allies are only able to receive a radar map that is limited to a 500 meters radius, however.
While leaner in appearance, the upgraded body armor that Orcariner boasts is more durable than his previous form. With additional layers, insulation, and superior plate placements, the Maximal is able to fulfill his role as a blood tank even without the use of his energy shields. The increased number of hard points allow the armor to displace the kinetic energy of impacts from both energy and concussive impacts. The higher mobility due to the restructuring of his body makes Orcariner more efficient at protecting his allies if needed. The addition of a mouth plate ensures that the Maximal's armor has no weak point that may be exploited by Predacon foes.
WEAKNESSES: The change to transmetal has completely eliminated Orcariner’s capability of ranged combat, limiting him to the confines of close quarters battle. His large frame as well as his powerful and constant emission of radar and sonar is enough to alert the enemy base of his presence in their airfield. While still susceptible to sonar emissions, transformers who have not undergone transmetalization are nearly impossible to detect via radar (both primary and deployable) when they are in beast mode. The sounds of his rotary blades alone are loud enough to alert individuals before the orca is even visible. At night, his vehicle mode is also visible to opposing forces due to the blinking navigation lights that are present for safety purposes. Being the largest of the Maximals, Orcariner draws more attention to himself than any other fighter. He is consistently the first target under enemy fire due to his imposing appearance, although this plays directly into his role as a guardian.
While powerful, Orcariner’s shield requires him to put forth both arms for deployment. The energy required to maintain such a large shield also immobilizes him upon use, rendering him incapable or attacking or evading. Furthermore, the shield prevents anything entering or leaving the premises. This may sometimes prove disadvantageous for allies within range of cover as Orcariner is forced to hold the shield for the entirety of its 8 second duration. The shield also requires a 3 minute recharge time unless Orcariner is willing to shut down his other processors to compensate for the excessive energy usage. Regarding the mobile shield that he generates on his arm, its defensive capabilities are nowhere near the impervious nature of the bubble shield. Given enough enemy fire, the shield may dissipate due to over-exhaustion. Even its usage as a melee weapon would eventually lead to its dispersal. The recharge time after this occurs, or after usage of the bubble shield, is also 5 minutes in duration.
Like most heavily fortified soldiers, Orcariner remains susceptible to attacks that do not require brute force. Being one of the larger Maximals who carries advanced technology within his body, he is more vulnerable to enemy hackers. Those who are skilled enough to exploit his systems would be able to manipulate his internal processors. While he would not be as quickly affected due to his bulk, Orcariner is able to fall to the effects of cyber venom.
