Starshadow yelped in pain as Miss Speartooth bit her then kicked her in the face. "DO NOT TEST ME, SABER-FANG!"
She thought about the plains. Every land should have an end like a beach or even better, a cliff.
Looking around the landscape, she zoomed into ever direction of the area and noticed the border of the land. It was pretty far from where she was standing. With a smirk, she ran towards the border. "Catch me while you can," she laughed evily. "I know you will..."
She just hope that Saber would fall for it and if the border was a cliff, she would bring her down from there.
Saber just chuckled and lowered her head for another attack.
"Catch me while you can,"
Saber wasn't exspecting Starshadow to take off like that, she thought she heard the younger cat say some thing else but she dismissed it as just the wind in her ears. Growling, her ears back she bolted after the younger cat, intent on not letting her go without a few souvenirs of thier fight.
You can run, Starshadow. But you can't hide... She thought with a smirk as she chased after her.
Cheetor moved to the left as he saw the strike coming for him, but he was still hit on the shoulder, and he fell gracelessly to the ground. Coming back to his feet immediately, he fired yet again at Sonar's chest.

Steelclaw transformed into battle mode as soon as Megatron ordered him to provide cover fire. He would have preferred attacking Whitegrazer instead, but from going to Megatron, and then to Starshadow, and now back to Megatron, she'd never really provided the opportunity for him to take a shot. He didn't mind so much firing near friendlies if he had a second to line up an attack accurately, but the Maximal had been consistently on the move.
Distancing himself slightly so as not to be similarly in anyone's way, he continued the assault Megatron had begun in Saber and Dinobot's direction, deploying his PPC and firing in a wide arc.
Saber quickly picked a fight with Starshadow, so soon it was really just him vs. Dinobot.
Dinobot ducked under the PPC's fire as he continued his run, and while Steelclaw figured he'd eventually be able to hit him, it would take a lot of energy to keep the PPC going to wait for that contact to be made at the distance his target was at. So he took out his gauss rifle and pumped it, waiting for Dinobot's hearty charge to bring him closer.
That was when something else caught his attention. Frilla was standing near Optimus Primal with her weapon down. Well it wasn't like they were going to be having a civil conversation in the middle of battle. Were the Maximals intimidating her into surrender?
He hadn't known Frilla for that long, but he did have defensive tendencies for his comrades, and the current situation made his fluid boil. Taking his aim off of Dinobot, he took a shot with an incendiary round at Primal's side.
"Frilla, get out of there!" he shouted.
"Dinobot, maximize!"
That was when he knew his time was up. He brought his attention back to the warrior and fired straight into his chest. The shot made direct contact, and though Dinobot stumbled, he continued moving forward, seemingly only more determined. The warrior took out his tail shield, and the next two shots Steelclaw took ricocheted off of it harmlessly. Steelclaw, not willing to despair, but realizing there were only feet left between him and his foe, took aim with PPC again.
With blinding speed, Dinobot allowed the beam to hit the middle of his shield, let the shield go while wheeling to the side, pulled out his sword, and leapt for the Predacon. In almost the same instant, Steelclaw was stabbed straight through the right side of his chest, and he collapsed to the ground with a pained shout.
His HUD immediately began flashing warning signs. Still, he looked past Dinobot and noticed Frilla taking shots at Scorponok.
"Well, if that doesn't..." Then he noticed Dinobot staring at him, perhaps ready to finish what he'd started. Not wasting one more moment, he fired his PPC again, and knocked Dinobot backwards off of his feet.
"If it's fair for me to ask, stab someone else, would you?"
PPC energy expended. Current energy levels not expendable for recharge, his computer announced.
"Go figure," Steelclaw acknowledged informally as he reached for the rifle that had fallen from his grasp. But he was knocked over by an optic blast before he ever reached it.
The focus of the maximal medic switched to Whitegracer, now that she felt reassured Primal was not in any immediate danger. The new maximal, or at least Nightmist assumed the graceful horse who had taken on the predacons by herself was one, seemed to have taken something of a beating from the ordeal. And it would appear her troubles were not over quite yet, as especially Megatron posed a severe threat.
Nightmist took aim again, this time at the Predacon commander. She realized that her firepower could not match that of the purple dinosaur (Barney, anyone?), but she hoped the equivalents of muscle relaxants she carried would provide enough time to get Whitegracer out of immediate danger.
She aimed directly at what looked like a vulnerable spot between the Predacon's spine and flank, holding her weapon as steady as she could as she pulled the trigger.
Megatron let out a low roar as he was hit in the face, then shot in the back, his head turning trying to reach the dart in his back with his tiny arms which was impossible. He then noticed Steelclaw was down and Scorponok was soon to fall, while his adrenalin was still going he could feel the effects of the tranquilizer. He snarled and turned his back towards Whitegrazer and Optimus starting to trot away, he knew the battle had suddenly made a complete reversal and if he passed out, he would be done for. This was not something he would allow. He activated his comlink as he made his escape There is no merit in continuing this battle, Predacons return to base! he then said, disappearing into woods on the edge of the plains.

Scorponok did not even have time to drop his jaw as the acid pellets made their way onto his chest plate and face. Screaming like a sissy, he danced around in circles before he stopped, dropped, and rolled.
"By Unicron's toes, this burns like the Pit itself!" he screamed.
To his dismay, the rolling was not effective against the acid. Scorponok quickly transformed into beast mode but was surprised to find that his chest and inner parts felt like they were on fire. Vocal speakers on full power, he ran off to Megatron with his screams unrelenting. Such sounds rivaled the combined powers of Sonar and Orcariner's sonic emissions combined.

Scorponok's spirits dropped but at least he did not have to worry about regrouping with the others. The Predacon plowed through the trees and bushes straight back to the base in hopes that the recovery baths would heal his wounds.
"Wait!" cried a voice.
Scorponok ungraciously disregarded the plea and ran past Terrorsaur's upper body. The red Predacon flyer cringed in anger as the supposed reinforcement simply abandoned him. Clenching his fist, Terrorsaur tossed aside some dirt in disgust.
"Can someone at least help me find my legs?" he yelled, "I don't have to have to ask Tarantulas to build me spare parts anymore! He tampers with them!"
The ice gave way and Orcariner broke free from the tunnel and swam back out into the open waters.
"About time," he said, "Beast mode."
Continuing his swim, he noticed that the entire surface above him was covered in a sheet of ice. It was difficult to see just how thick it was. The sky was white and gray so the killer whale was unable to get a solid visual of anything above him. Instead, he turned his attention to his radar.
"Birdies," he radioed, "I have both our friendlies on my radar. I also have signature readings that are registered to Glowstick and Snowtrix. All four blips are in the same vicinity so we can assume that they are in some sort of engagement. Going off of experience, I'd say it's not the good kind. On the other hand, our crash site is a little under a kilometer just north of their position. We can either help the cats out or use this distraction as a sure way to get to the site before the Predacons do. What do you guys think?"
As Megatron spoke in the comlinks, Starshadow snarled with defiance.
"No way, Barney! If you can't take one of them down, I'll do it MYSELF!" and with that, she shut off her comlinks.
She reached to the edge of the cliff, smiling. The panther skidded to a halt even if her injured paw hurts and transformed into her robot mode, facing Saber.
Sonar used his forward momentum to his advantage and pushed up with his arms and gracefully landed back on his feet. He quickly turned to face the cat, only to get shot in the chest, thankfully it did do very much damage.
There is no merit in continuing this battle, Predacons return to base!
Sonar let out an irriated growl, then transformed into his beast mode and took off after Megatron.

"Meow..."
"Wow, you're the strangest bot I've ever met and I have to deal with Rattrap."
She lowered her head and growled, she knew that she would have to be careful other wise she would end up falling off the cliff.
Starshadow pulled out her gun and fired horizontally at Saber.
"What's the matter General? Too scared to face me?" she laughed and continue to fire. She was going to win this fight and she knew it.
Saber dodged the blasts that Starshadow had fired at her.
"What's the matter General? Too scared to face me?"
Saber snorted. "Your the least of my worries, but if you wish to fight, go into your beast mode and then we'll fight." She replied, her teeth bared and her ears back.
She would have to be careful not to lose her temper in this fight, even though Starshadow was the enemy she didn't want to be responsable for savagely slaughtering a young bot like Starshadow.
"Bring it on OLD LADY!" Starshadow would play her game fair and square.
"As my grandmother always say, 'when playing games, play fairly!'.." she pounced on Saber and bit her neck.

Primus, this kid is scary Saber thought.
She felt Starshadow sink her teeth into her neck but before she could do any damage she quickly flipped onto her back, dislodging the panther, making sure that she wouldn't be any where near the cliffs edge.
Starshadow grunted when Saber managed to get her jaws off her shoulder.
"If you're not going to take this battle seriously, I would have to make you do a bungee jump." she tackled her to the edge of the cliff, with Starshadow on top of her.
"It's time for you to face death!" she pressed her other paw on Saber's throat while the injured paw pinned the large saber cat claw.

"If you're not going to take this battle seriously, I would have to make you do a bungee jump."
Before she could react, Starshadow was top of her.
"It's time for you to face death!"
Saber started to struggle and tried to free her self, but the younger bot had her pinned pretty well, her green eyes widened she felt the beast stir within her.
No! Not now! She screamed in her mind.
The General green eyes suddenly glowed bright neon green and with massive force she pushed Starshadow off her. She rose to her feet and looked at her front paws they were getting bigger and the claws sharper. She looked at Starshadow, fear in her bright green eyes.
"Not until I've killed every maximal ONE BY ONE!" Starshadow's scarlet red eyes were getting brighter. The thoughts of her past increased her rage level. Her tail fur bristled, claws were digging on the warm soil. Her great hatred for the maximals caused her to charge forward for attack. She leaped in the air and swiped a claw across Saber's face.
