Faction: Considers himself neutral (which will be explained), though is technically a maximal.
Beast mode: Plesiosaur.
Vehicle mode: N/A
Size: 35ft long in beast mode, 32ft high in robot mode.
Weapons: A strong, durable shield, infused with stable energon, and a portable jamming device.
Armour colour: Seaweed green, some dark blue and a dash of orange.
Optics colour: Bright yellow.
Quote: "The deep blue is mine to roam, Primal. I will not let -your- war make me forget that."
History: The stasis pods onboard the Axalon weren't all blank protoforms.
When the Axalon was preparing to leave Cybertron, a stow-a-way managed to slip on board, hidden in one of the stasis pods (having switched the one with the protoform in with an empty one).
This was Essle. Ever since he'd been a young 'bot, he'd always wanted to see life beyond Cybertron. When he was older, and he heard Optimus Primal was going on an expedition into space, he lept at the chance.
However, the Maximals in charge of the expedition said that the crew didn't need any more members. Saddened, but not disheartened, Essle managed to sneak into the hold which contained all the stasis pods. He managed to hide there, as I have explained above.
When the Axalon followed the Darksyde through to prehistoric Earth, the side of the former ship was breached thanks to the Darksyde's side guns. When the pods were jettisoned, Essle's was the first to fall, almost immedietely as it was jettisoned.
Thus, Essle plummeted into the middle of an ocean (which coincidentally would be only 1 megacycle away from where DC's starhopper crashed). When the stasis pod hit the stoney ocean bed, it did what it was meant to do; scan for a new lifeform, and replicate it. The first thing the scanner passed over was the fossil of an extinct Plesiosaur, and the pod burst open, Essle confused and angry.
After discovering he could turn into a beast perfectly suited to life underwater, he set off gliding through the murky depths, not knowing where he waas headed.
When the Planetbuster was destroyed, Essle never even saw the quantum surge. He remained unaltered. The lone 'bot was only discovered after Depthcharge crashed to Earth. Whilst cheetor was stranded on the small island (after Rampage had shot him out of the sky), he noticed a shape rising out of the water near him. Essle surfaced, and managed to talk with Cheetor about the events taking place, and requested to speak with Primal (then Optimal Optimus). Primal and Essle had a long conversation about the lonely 'bot. Optimus offered Essle a place in the Maximals.
He declined. He wanted no part in this war. The sea was his to roam, not to fight in. He requested only that his identity remain largely unknown.
After the events of Nemesis, Optimus approached Essle one more time, offering him a place on the ship to Cybertron. Once more, the seabot refused. "I am one with this planet and it's waters, Maximal. There is no place for me back there."
Even to this day, it is said Essle glides through the deep waters of the world (explaining for a good number of 'sea serpent' sightings).
Blimey, took me a long time to think up and type. What do you think of it?

Indeed! I was originally going to have it as the pod crashing into the area that would become Loch Ness, though I thought it would suit his beast mode more if he crashed into the middle of the ocean.
Though, if you've looked hard enough (not saying you didn't

O and sky, for a dragon beast mode, I have 3 explainations:
1) Since dere was alotta sciencists aboard da Axalon, dey coulda be part of a project to create more powerful beast modes by tamperin wid DNA, and let da experiments have a free reign on Earth (there are holes in dis, I know)
2) Ever seen dat fake documentary on Discovery Channel (or Animal Planet) on dragons? It gives a very good scientific backing to how dragons could of exist....
3) As Merbum mentioned, I'm sure ol 'Ranty was more dan capable of making a dragon beast form. He's a genius

New OC time! This one will have an allegiance, and won't be such a prude unlike Essle.
Name: Shelgra
Faction: Maximal.
Beast mode: Transmetal loggerhead turtle.
Vehicle mode: Small submarine (slightly similar to the one used in Changing of the Guard, but far more advanced).
Size: 9ft long in beast mode, 5ft long in vehicle mode (though keep in mind the sub is small and compact), 8.2 ft high in robot mode.
Weapons: Shell shield and a plasma rifle (like Cheetors main weapon in season 1).
Armour colour: Metallic ochre, dusty orange and some gunmetal grey.
Optics colour: Dull red.
Additional note: speaks with a scottish accent.

History: Shelgra was one of the many protoforms caught in the quantum surge. Her pod plummeted from the heavens shortly after the Axalon was destroyed.
Shelgra received a rough landing, crashing onto a rocky, pebbly beach. As soon as she landed, the pod scanned a group of loggerhead turtles that had come onto the beach to lay their eggs. The pod burst open, and Shelgra arrived into the Beast Wars.
Not long after she had discovered how to transform, she was approached by Depthcharge, who had sen bent to recover the fallen stasis pod. To his surprise, he was greeted by a hearty "Och! Ye look a wee bit skinnae, eh lad?".
A bemused DC took her to the Ark, where she eagerly agreed to assist Optimus and the Maximals in the fight against Megatron. Shelgra proved to be a valuable asset in the fight, giving the Maximals some much needed spirit.
She would often go on routine patrols of the local lakes and seas with Depthcharge, who she had struck a peculiar "Teasing big sister and grumbling little brother" relationship with. Despite his protests, she often joined in with his scuffles with Rampage, though of course Rampage is powerful enough for two.
As Optimus realised that the Nemesis was going to be raised from the depths of the ocean by Megatron, Shelgra was quick to try and help. During Depthcharge and Rampage's climactic battle, she actually managed to climb onto the sunken Decepticon flagship.
With a steely look in her optics and strength in her hands, she nearly managed to tear off the main weapon of the sunken ship. However, much to the fury of Optimus and Tigerhawk, she was mercilessly obliterated by the weapon as it rose from the deep blue sea.
She would be the first casualty of the battle against the Nemesis, a sad reminder of how cruel and heartless Megatron really was.

Hmmm...the Yeti, for some reason, is taking up a lot of my thinking time. For now, enter...the Mothman (look it up on Wikipedia).

Faction: Formerly Predacon, now unaffiliated.
Beast mode: Indescribable; only Tarantulas ever knew fully. Is possibly Phobius' only form.
Vehicle mode: N/A
Size: 6-9ft high.
Armour colour: Most likely either black, dark brown or dark grey.
Optics colour: A bright, piercing red.

History: Shortly after the arrival of the Fuzors, Megatron decided to try another tactic in his fight against the Maximals.
Psychological warfare.
Megatron decided that by striking fear into the hearts of Optimus and his comrades, he'd be able lower their morale enough for him to easily destroy them and their base.
Naturally, there was only one scientist twisted enough for the job.
Tarantulas set about gathering the various animals he needed. First, he caught a large moth he had found fluttering about his lair. Then, he captured a large bird (a vulture, or possibly an owl). Finally, to give his creature a basic, recognisable shape, he kidnapped one of the early humans from the valley.
Words cannot describe the sickening sounds, sights and smells that filled the lair as Tarantulas worked, cutting and hacking and injecting and splicing. Even the arachnid himself felt fearful, for he was seeing the extent of what he could create.
As soon as Tarantulas had completed this thing (which he had named 'Phobius'), he showed it to Megatron, who was disgusted by it. Phobius stood about 6-9ft tall, and always seemed to be shrouded in darkness. It barely looked like another transformer. It had legs, yes, but instead of arms it had a pair of large, moth-like wings.
There was no obvious head on Phobius, but the most striking feature were the optics. They were huge, round and red. Unmoving, yet somehow piercing. It is said that Tarantulas saw what looked like a spark of fear in Megatrons own optics.
As I've said before, Megatron was disgusted by it. He snapped at Tarantulas to exterminate it. But as soon as Tarantulas turned on it with his blaster, Phobius burst out of the Darksyde, emitting a strange shrieking cry.
Cursing, Megatron hoped that would be the last of it.
It wasn't.
For seven long nights, Phobius flew over each base, shrieking and wailing. Both factiosn felt fearful, for this creature could hardly be described as a transformer. More as a twisted vision.
At last, Phobius stopped. No-one knows where it went. Nobody cared. They were just glad they weren't being terrorised by Phobius anymore.
It was largely forgotten about, until the end of the Beast Wars. Optimus swore he heard a scream of victory from somewhere above the debris of the fallen Nemesis.
To this day, Phobius (or the 'Mothman' as the humans have taken to calling him) still flies around the world, supposedly bringing an uncontrollable feeling of morbid terror to all who hear it.
Tarantulas' legacy still lives on in the form of pure terror.
Now -that- was fun to type up. Think I might have scared myself a little in the process.

Affiliation: Predicon, Later a member of Drago's CBR (Cold Blood Raiders)
Role:Covert Ops specialist
Weapons: Personal Cloaking Device, Electric tongue, Stinger tail that shoots energy blasts.
Cameo was discovered by Drago after Drago betrayed the Predicons and found some stasis pods. Cameo is known for his hasty decisions and his loyalty to Drago. But he is more reknowned for it Covert Specialty.
Cameo has a cloaking device, which is near perfect. If any other predicon had it, it wouldn't be perfect since Cameo was trained to be dead silent. If he was inches away, you wouldn't even know he is there.
Being one of Drago's original CBR, he remains loyal to only Drago for the entire fanfic.

Weapons: Back shell is removable, can be thrown, used as a shield, and can open up to reveal several rapid firing cannons within the shell, each with the effectiveness as a .50 caliber machine gun.
Ironshell is another of Drago's stooges, he is more brash but loyal to Drago. His weapon is extremely powerful since it can be used in several unpredictable ways. If Cameo is the silence of the CBR, then Ironshell is the complete opposite of within the CBR.

Mothman huh? Dat's kinda sorta creepy.... in a good way I guess.
Since my brainjuices are flowing, I, just now, have partially created a story for Bruce.
Name: Bruce (BRUte forCE)
Faction: Maximal
Beast Mode: Great White Shark
Vehicle Mode: Monster truck based vehicle (ok mabbe he'll be a speeder ya know like star wars)
Weapons: Mini-missle launcher combined wid a laser cannon
Colors: Mostly grey with some pale blue. Optics: Blood's Red
Bruce's pod fell wid 5 others after the quantum surge. He fell into the ocean, in center of a faceoff between a pod of bottlenose dolphins and a great white. He shot out of his pod and scared off all of the dolphins but one.
That's how Bruce met Zoe, another Maximal who had fallen into the seas. They traveled together out of saftey, not because they wanted to. They developed 'a love to hate and hate to love' relationship.
Zoe decided to explore the shores, and ran into AV, and Bruce trailed behind. AV recognized him. Bruce meets up with his old friend.
For a time, he's happy, but he keeps getting a sense that someone is watchin him. And he rememers IT. IT begins to show up in Bruce's dreams, and Bruce becomes more and more parinod.
Then, Tigatron and Airazor find AV's group and give them directions to the Axalon. They set off, but so IT would have a harder time identifying him, Bruce uses a new name, Cybershark.
So what do ya think?
