Departure and Pondering (Redone)

Unread post by Blazemane »

Hello. I had posted a story on this thread some years back, so allow me to explain at least a little bit why it isn't here anymore. For a long time--in my writing of fan fiction and in my watching, reading and general consideration of a number of different shows, books and other forms of stories--I had been sinning and making my temptation towards these sins ever greater. I have been done with writing fan fiction since mid-2014, but I have since realized that I need to go one more step and take these stories down, so that they're isn't this sort of contingency in play where I can tell myself, "well, maybe one day everything will be fine, and I'll be able to go back to those stories." That is still temptation. That is still my looking to these stories, even if I'm not in the process of writing. I have to let my idols--and the temptations to which they lead--go.

I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.

A lot of OCs to get used to, but it was an enjoyable read nonetheless :D

How long did it take for you to write and edit this chapter? The ending seems to bring a sense of finality, so is this the end of your series?

I can't remember how long it first took to write it (that was in 2009), but think I started editing it right at the beginning of May. It took me so long to finish because it was actually a lot more like re-writing it than editing it, and I have trouble coming up with ideas I can stick by 24 hours later. I'm a slow writer.

It's not the end of the series, but adding a sense of finality to Megatron's departure emphasizes that the Maximals have essentially failed to stop him on Cybertron. Now, of course, it's up to the Axalon crew.

I still have a few loose ends to tie up in the back story on Cybertron (since this goes against canon already), and then there's the other part of the story which takes place during the Beast Wars which hasn't been concluded either.
I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.
