First writing assignment

So I am taking creative writing this semester and for some reason my teacher gave us this to write about. I swear he did and for what reason I am not sure but thought you guys might enjoy something funny, even if it is a gross topic. We could do it in a paragraph form or poem structure, I chose poem because it sounded funnier.

The Snot

The stuff called mucus,
What stays in our nose,
Can be in our stomach,
Makes us queasy,
Caused by many,

We get it from pollen,
Caused by cold of winter,
Wind blowing dust,
Warm weather bringing new bloom,
Flu that attacks our systems,

It can be light green from puss,
Red from blood,
Dark green from who knows what,
Most caused by irritation,
Or simply picking your nose,

It can be runny,
It can be clumpy,
Can choke you when swallowed,
Digesting makes an upset stomach,
Makes you vomit,

It's in our nose,
Swallowed when sick,
Gooey and nasty,
This is snot

"Pus" is spelt with one S, not too. "Puss" is an abbreviation of "Pussy" (e.g. Puss In Boots)
