Visions of the Future

The air felt cool and nice, as it blew across Tigatron's snowy white fur. Tigatron stopped, to rest, for he had been running back to the Maximal base after checking perimeter A17 for any Predacons.

Suddenly his intercom cracked with static , and Optimus voice came on. "Tigatron?"

"Yes Optimus"

"Report immediately to sector B25, a stasis pod has landed and the Predacons have already left their base to retrieve it. We are almost half way to the site."

"I'm on it, Optimus"

"Will meet you there. Optimus over and out"

Tigatron ran full speed ahead to the coordinates he was given. He felt a sudden dread about going but he knew it was his duty to retrieve the stasis pod. If the Predacons had gotten it, it would tip the balance of power between the Maximals and the Predacons.

It was at these times he wished he wasn't part of this war. He hated it. He wish he could leave it all behind and experience all the wonders of this planet. At the same time he knew he couldn't leave. The others would still continue to fight and no matter how much he didn't want to, he was in this war.

Suddenly from a distance, there was a huge explosion that shook the entire ground. The sky lit up like fire and high up in the distance four dismantled bodies flew, torn from limb to limb, by the blast . Tigatron strained his eyes to see past the dust and rocks that flew everywhere. He could make out the bodies of Airazor, Cheetor, Ratrap, and Rhinox.

" No!!!!!!!!! No!!!!!!!!!! No!!!!!!!" Tigatron cried in rage. He raced forward to the raging battle scene, his legs aching after each long stride.

`No, this can't be happening.` Tigatron thought, `All we had to do is retrieve a stasis pod, and this happens.`

He continued running. He was close now. He saw a damaged Dinobot and Optimus trying to fight back against the Predacons. They were out numbered 2 to 1. Terrasaur, Scorponok, and Inferno lay sprawled on the floor, while Megatron, Blackarachnia, Waspinator, and Tarantulas were firing against a tired, beaten, Optimus and Dinobot. Waspinator flew into the air and aimed at Dinobot.

" Dinobot, look out!!! Above you!!!!" Tigatron shouted. Dinobot looked up, only he was too late . The blast hit his head and Dinobot fell to the ground. It was only Optimus now.

"Tigatron maximize!!!" Tigatron screamed as he transformed. His white fur disappeared, replaced by a metallic body. He raced forward but he was still a couple of meters away from Optimus.

" Optimus," Megatron said, as he pointed the gun towards him, " I have finally won the Beast Wars!!!!". He aimed then fired.

" No!!!" Tigatron screamed as he ran, but he was too far away. The blast hit Optimus and he fell back. Optimus had finally been beaten and the only thing that stood in the way of the Predacon's victory was Tigatron. Megatron and the other Predacons moved up.

" Yes, cat. Your leader has been beaten and the Predacons have won. Predacons - aim and fire!!!!"

" No!!!!!" Tigatron screamed as four shots headed toward him.

" No!!!!!!!" Tigatron shouted as he woke up from his bed.

"Tigatron, open up! It's Optimus."

"Optimus... come in" Tigatron said in a dazed voice.

"What happened ? Why were shouting?" Optimus asked as he entered.

"Oh, I'm sorry..." Tigatron said as he was interrupted by Ratrap, who came rushing in the room.

"What the slag happened in here? Is Tigatron all right?"

"Yes, I'm fine everyone. I just had a strange, but realistic nightmare"

" Oh great! We get woken up from our good night sleep to rush down to Tigatron's quarters to find out the cat had a bad dream. Give me a break! I'm going back to my beauty rest."

"Yes, Ratrap. Looking at you, you do need a lot of rest." said Cheetor.

"Ha! Ha!" Ratrap said sarcastically as he walked back to his quarters.

"Well, I guess if everything is all right, we'll leave you to go back to sleep" Optimus said.

"Once again I apologize if I caused you all concern"

"No problem Tigatron" Rhinox said as he left the room.

Only Airazor stayed behind.

"So, Tigatron what was the dream about that got you so startled?" she said as she sat on the bed.

Tigatron told her everything from when he got the call from Optimus to retrieve the stasis pod, till the end when Megatron and the other Predacons had won against them.

" And it felt so real." Tigatron continued, "I could feel the wind against my fur and I could feel the heat from the blast. I could see things so clearly."

"All it was, was a bad dream. Nothing more. Now it's over." she said as she hugged Tigatron.

`No,` Tigatron thought, `That was too real to be a bad dream.`

"Tarantulas....."

"Yes, Megatron" Tarantulas answered as he reported to Megatron.

" Have you completed your assignment?"

" Not yet Megatron. Everything is done except for the core of the bomb. We need to get the Armanite crystals that's located in sector A17. I have only seen those crystals there and I have reason to believe that is the only place to find them throughout the entire planet."

" Inferno and Terrasaur report to me immediately!"

A couple of seconds later, Inferno and Terrasaur appeared.

"Yes, Megatron"

"Yes, my Queen"

"How many times have I told you not to call me 'Queen'" a frustrated Megatron shouted towards Inferno.

"Anyway, for now I want both of you to follow Tarantulas to collect the Armanite crystals. Is that understood?"

"Yes Megatron" answered Terrasaur.

"Yes, my Queen I will do as you command" answered Inferno.

Megatron dismisses them and they leave the base to collect the crystals.

"Yes.... The Armanite bomb will send a BLAST throughout the entire Maximal army and the Predacons shall be victorious!!!"

Back at the Maximal base, Tigatron got up from his bed. The dream he had before still troubled him, but the bright sun and the birds chirping outside gave him comfort. He got up, stretched, and headed toward the door when...

FLASH!

Tigatron was hiding behind a rock ready to spring out from behind and shoot Tarantulas when BAM! BAM! BAM!. He looked towards the side to see that Cheetor had been shot in the back. He turned around to face the attacker when....

FLASH!

He was back again in his room.

`What in the Matrix is happening to me?` Tigatron wondered, `Am I going insane? Not enough do I have nightmares but now in the day, too? `

The door to his quarters slid open and he walked out, but he still couldn't get over the feeling of the "day-dream" that had seem so utterly real. He headed towards the control room.

"Hey Tigatron. How did you sleep the rest of the night?" asked Airazor.

"Uh.. fine" Tigatron answered. He was too pre-occupied thinking about the vision he had just experienced.

"Unfortunately for me, my night was not so great. I guess that happens when you break your sleep to find out the shouts were coming from the quarters next door from someone who was having nightmares." Ratrap whined.

"Stop your stupid remarks, Ratrap. We know you're a rat, but you're working overtime now"

"Score: 1 for the Cheetah, zip for the rat".

Suddenly the computer interrupts their conversation. "Three Predacon signatures have been detected. They are currently located in sector A17."

Just then Optimus walks in.

" Yo fearless leader, three Pred. signatures are located in sector A17 and they are still on the move."

"Tigatron, Airazor, and Cheetor follow them and see what they're up to."

"We're on it. Big Bot"

Outside the air felt good. It wasn't too hot and it wasn't too cold, either. Airazor flew up, riding on thermals, rising her up and up. Cheetor and Tigatron ran as fast as they could down below.

"Hey guys," Airazor reported, "I see two of the Predacons Tarantulas and Inferno. They are not much further from where we are now. I'm coming down before they see me."

Airazor landed beside Tigatron and Cheetor.

`There is something strangely familiar about this, but I can't seem to figure out what it is....` Tigatron wondered.

"O.K. let's maximize and hide behind the rocks, then we can spring out from behind the rocks and get Tarantulas and Inferno." suggested Cheetor.

"Good idea" Airazor said.

They all transformed to battle mode and hid behind the rocks. They could hear Tarantulas talking to himself.

" Yes! Once I have these crystals the project shall be complete!"

"And the Royalty shall be pleased" said Inferno.

Just then Tigatron remembered the vision he had before he left his room this morning. `No` he moaned silently as he realized what was about to happen. He turned around and saw Terrasaur in the air aiming his gun at Cheetor. Tigatron took out his gun and shot Terrasaur down before he could even pull the trigger. Terrasaur plummeted down lleaving a trail of smoke behind him.

"What?" Airazor and Cheetor said in unison as they turned around to see Terrasaur fall down from the sky.

"Terrasaur was about to shoot Cheetor" Tigatron explained quickly,

They all jumped out behind the rocks and started firing.

"No!!! The Maximals are here." Tarantulas screeched, "Retreat. We have got all the crystals we need."

"Next time Maximals. Next time you all shall burn!!!!" Inferno shouted as he picked up Terrasaur and flew away.

"Hey, at least we figured why they came here to get these crystals" Cheetor said.

"Yes, but we still don't know the purpose of crystals" Airazor commented.

"By the way, Tigatron, How did you know Terrasaur was behind me?" Cheetor asked.

"Well, Ratrap did say there was three Predacon signatures, two were identified to be Tarantulas and Inferno. I knew there was another one around."

"But even then, to know Terrasaur was going to shoot us from behind?"

"I just had a feeling, Cheetor. I just had a feeling....." Tigatron said quietly.

"So what have we learned about this project of Megatron's?" asked Optimus.

"Only that whatever it is the Pred.'s need these crystals to complete it." answered Cheetor.

"Rhinox, any ideas on what these crystals can do?"

"No, but I do know they are very rare. I've done a scan around a big patch of the planet, and these crystals are only located in sector A17."

"Interesting..... Tigatron could you check out that sector for any more Predacon activity and see if they ever come back again for more crystals?" Optimus asked.

" I will" answered Tigatron.

Tigatron stepped out of the base and headed towards sector A17.

`There is something strange about this` Tigatron thought, ` I feel as I've done this before....`

Meanwhile back at the Predacon base Tarantulas, Inferno, and Terrasaur return.

"What happened to Terrasaur?" Megatron asked.

"The Maximals interfered, but we managed to get all the Armanite crystals we needed for the core of the bomb" Tarantulas answered.

"Well, get the bomb ready, quickly. I feel that there's going to be an opportunity to use iit very soon......Yes......"

"Oh Megatron, I have something to tell you that might be of an interest to you...." Scorponok said from the computer panel.

"What is it?"

"A stasis pod is landing down in sector B25. It has already gone past the planet's atmosphere and is going to crash anytime now."

" And opportunity presents itself....Yes... Tarantulas prepare the bomb!" Megatron said as he laughed.

"A stasis pod?!"

"Yes, Vermin the stasis pod is going to land soon in sector B25." Dinobot answered.

"And it seems that the Predacons have already left their base to get it. Computer detects seven Predacon signatures" Rhinox said.

"Well, we have to leave right away. I'm not going to let the Predacon's have this stasis pod! Let's go!" Optimus commanded.

Optimus transformed and flew into the air with Airazor while the other Maximals followed below.

Tigatron's intercom cracked with static and Optimus voice came on.

"Tigatron?"

"Yes, Optimus"

"Report immediately to sector B25. A stasis pod has landed and the other Predacons have left their base to retrieve it. We are almost halfway to the site."

"I'm on it Optimus"

"Meet you there. Optimus over and out"

Tigatron ran towards the sector when he realized the most important detail he had missed. This was exactly his dream and all was lost.

`How could I been such a fool?` Tigatron thought, `The dream was revealed to me for a reason. For me to prevent this from happening. Now everything is lost and the Maximals will fight their last battle and will lose to the evil Predacons!`

" I see them Optimus!" Airazor shouted.

" Are they near the pod?"

"No, still a distance away."

"We have to engage them in battle. That's the only thing that will prevent them from going further. Let's fly down."

Optimus and Airazor landed beside the other Maximals.

"Maximals maximize!" Optimus shouted.

"What are we doing?" asked Ratrap.

"We'll fight the Predacons and get them distracted. Then Rhinox you will go to the stasis pod. The rest of you just fight!" Optimus answered.

"Let's go kick some Pred. butt!" Cheetor shouted as he ran towards the Predacons.

No one noticed Terrasaur and Inferno carrying a 2 meter, metal, sphere in the air.

Just then Airazor remembered Tigatron's dream and the huge blast. `No` Airazor thought, `Tigatron's dream is coming true.`

"Cheetor, Rhinox, Ratrap come back!!!" Airazor screamed.

Just then Inferno lit the bomb in the air and threw it down. As it reached the ground, the whole thing blew up, and because the core was packed with Armanite crystals the bomb was even worse. The ground shook and the sky turned blood red. The impact was so great that it pushed Terrasaur and Inferno to the ground.

Optimus and Dinobot were too far away to feel the full effects of the bomb, but they were knocked off their feet.

"What the heck was that?" Dinobot asked.

"I think that was a bomb." Optimus answered.

"Look over there! I think I see the bodies of Ratrap, Cheetor, and Rhinox. They look hurt badly."

" We need to get them to the CR. chambers quickly"

" No time Optimus, the Predacons are advancing towards us."

"Oooo... Optimus. Your team is gone. I have won and you are about to be finished." Megatron boasted.

" It's not over till it's over Megatron" Optimus answered bravely.

"I declare it's over!"

Dinobot's eyes lit up and he shot his lasers, hitting Scorponok square in the chest before he could shoot Dinobot.

"Dinobot! Look Out! Above You!" Dinobot heard in the distance.

Dinobot looked up, but Waspinator had already fired and it hit Dinobot in the face. He fell down.

"Optimus, it's just you now" Megatron said as he pointed the gun towards Optimus, "I have finally won the Beast Wars!!!"

Megatron fired.

Out of the corner of his eye, Optimus saw Tigatron coming try to come to his rescue, but he was too far away. Optimus tried to pull the trigger of his own gun, but he was just too slow. The blast hit him and he fell to the floor.

I was there when I saw Optimus go down. Yes it happened exactly as it did in the dream, except this time it was real. I was too late, too late in everything.

"Yes cat, your leader has been beaten and the Predacons have finally won!!!"

`The same exact words as in my dream` thought Tigatron, `And it's going to have the same ending.`

"Predacons - Aim and fire!!!"

"No!!!!" Tigatron screamed as four blasts headed toward him.

Suddenly out of the corner of his eye, a shadow pushed him down.

"What?! Megatron said confused. Then realizing what happened "What I fool I have been! I was too busy fighting the Maximals and I forgot about the stasis pod!" Megatron shouted.

Tigatron looked up to see that Airazor pushed him down. Beside her stood a raccoon.

"Airazor? How did you....?" Tigatron said in confusion.

"I'll explain later, but now let's take care of these Predacons!"

They got up.

"Raccoona Maximize!" the raccoon said as it transfored to robot mode.

"Let's put out the trash!" Raccoona shouted.

They all started firing. They hit Tarantulas and Waspinator. Blackarachnia realized the odds of them winning and converted to beast mode and skittered away.

"Fine, leave me witch" Megatron said to Blackarachnia.

Then to the other Maximals he said "This is far from over Maximals. The Predacons will win! And on that day every Predacon shall rejoice"

Megatron ran back to the base. All the other Predacons who could walk carried the injured back to the base and soon the place was empty.

"Well I guess my vision turned out differently." Tigatron said.

"Yes it did," Airazor said, " Now let's carry the other Maximals back to the base and place them in the CR. chambers so they can get repaired."

The next day after they were all rested.....

" Wait, so let me get it straight, so you stayed back away from the bomb. Then while the Predacons were busy, you dealt with the stasis pod. Then you Tigatron, and Raccoona dealt with the remaining Predacons?" Ratrap asked.

"Yes, we did Ratrap" answered Airazor

"How cool!" Cheetor said.

"Yes, you all did a fine job." Optimus said "And I know, Raccoona, you'll fit right in."

"Yeah, and it's good to have another female around" Airazor replied.

Tigatron just looked out the window thinking about all the visions he had.

`Who sent me those visions?` Tigatron thought, `But whoever it was it had to be very powerful......`

If only Tigatron had known that he was about to meet that being very, very soon........
