Born In Africa 

Caught 
In a brutal
but beautiful place
Constitutionalised into a corner.
We have so much to give
teach
but may end up buried in the sad sterile soil of Africa
which once
gave human life to the planet
and yet now the continent
wallows
and wastes its talent as the 
whims
of political pomposity.
refuse to accept
that it all started here-
should grow here-
and should
not have its riches torn out and away 
in return for guns.
We all belong here.
In Africa.
